January 6th Meeting Brings a Teach-in to Ring 50

    Start the New Year with increasing your magic skills, knowledge, and meeting more members of Ring 50.

    The January Ring 50 ‘Stars of Magic’ Teach-in will be shaping up for an educational evening to enhance our Art of Magic. The lecturers may present a bit of related magic history, techniques, and then teach a trick or two. Each of the lectures will last about 20 minutes. The group will remain seated and the instructors will move to the next group.

This is one the best meetings -- because everyone learns a lot of new magic. The teachers are: Augie Arnstein, Arnold Fuoco, Joe Mielnicki, and John Roberts. 

    The teach-in will take place at the Bishop Ireton HS, 201 Cambridge Road, Alexandria, VA following a short business meeting at 7:00 PM. You may want to bring a deck of cards and a note pad, don’t forget a pen too.

Children’s Holiday Show December 2

On Wednesday, December 2^nd there will be a "Children's Holiday Magic Show" sponsored by I.B.M. National Capital Ring 50 featuring four of Washington's finest children's magicians: Noland Montgomery, Louis Hofheimer (Capt. Token), Larry Lipman (Lorenzo the Great) and Eric Henning.

Danny Selnick is the chairman for this fun event and he expects 100 children or more and their parents.

You saw how successful it has been the last few years for the children and the community!

Admittance is FREE -- with donation of toy (preferred) or can of food for the Alexandria Citadel, Salvation Army. The Holiday show starts at 7:00 PM and will be about 1 hour in duration. Be sure to bring the kids and see a great Holiday show compliments of Ring 50 and Bishop Ireton High School, 201 Cambridge Rd, Alexandria, VA!

CAMERON FRANCIS Ring 50 Magic Lecture Nov 4

Get ready for a high energy event chock full of amazing, practical, off-beat magic!

Cameron Francis as a close up magician is well known for his off-beat, quirky style of magic. He has performed all over the country including the Close-up Gallery of the world famous Magic Castle in Hollywood. He is also a regular performer at Wizardz Magic Theater in Orlando, Fl.

Cameron has created many original effects and has collaborated with some of the top names in close up magic, including Richard Sanders, Dave Forrest, Liam Montier, Aldo Colombini and Peter Duffie. He has lecture at clubs and conventions (including FISM 2012) in eight countries Cameron has had tricks published in Genii Magazine, MUM, Magic Magazine, Magician Magazine, The Linking Ring, The Magic Menu, as well as a monthly column in the British IBM magazine The Budget.

   Lecture to be held at the Bishop Ireton High School, 201 Cambridge Rd, Alexandria, VA at 7:00 Wednesday November 4^th. The lecture is free to I.B.M. Ring 50 members. All other magicians may attend the lecture for a $20 fee.
